THE TEAM NEWS
WIGAN WARRIORS
Head Coach: Adrian Lam
Squad: Bullock, Burgess, Escaré, Flower, Gildart, Greenwood, Hankinson, Hardaker, Isa, Leuluai, Marshall, O’Loughlin, Partington, Powell, Sarginson, Ja. Shorrocks, Smithies, Tautai, Williams

- Wigan secured a vital win against Salford on Easter Monday as they bounced back from their defeat to St Helens on Good Friday and will now look to make it back-to-back wins as they host Castleford.
- The Warriors fielded an extremely under-strength side on Monday but have only made two changes to their 19-man squad with debuatant Amir Bourouh unfortunate not to retain his place.
- He makes way for the more senior Sam Powell who returns having served a two-match ban whilst Dan Sarginson is also back in the squad having recovered from an injury and takes the place of youngster Harry Smith.
CASTLEFORD TIGERS
Head Coach: Daryl Powell
Squad: Aston, Clare, Clark, Clarkson, Eden, Egodo, Maher, Massey, Mata’utia, McMeeken, McShane, Milner, Minikin, O’Neill, Peachey, Smith, Trueman, Turner, Watts
Unavailable: Luke Gale, Jamie Ellis, Jordan Rankin, Alex Foster, Matt Cook, Grant Millington, Cheyse Blair, Oliver Holmes, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Junior Moors, Michael Shenton
- Castleford were comfortably beaten in the south of France as Catalans got the better of them in their Easter Monday clash and the knock-on effect of that trip could linger beyond this week.
- Nathan Massey pulled out just before the Catalans game but has been named in the 19-man squad here but it’s bad news for Michael Shenton who was carried off for the Tigers and will miss several months with an ankle injury.
- Junior Moors is also out through suspension meaning the Tigers are without 11 players for this contest with youngsters Calum Turner and Jacques O’Neill returning to the side this week.
THE PREDICTION
Wigan secured a morale-boosting win as their young side defeated Salford on Easter Monday but they must look to back that up here with a host of players set to return. They face a Castleford side low on troops after they collected more injuries over the Easter period with Wigan able to edge this. The Warriors could make several changes to their side this week with a couple of players back to boost their options but Castleford travel with 11 players unavailable and that could be too much for the Tigers to deal with as the Warriors can capitalise to make it back-to-back victories.
