THE TEAM NEWS

HULL KR

Head Coach: Tim Sheens

Squad: Addy, Atkin, Bardle, Crooks, Drinkwater, Hall, Hauraki, Keinhorst, Lannon, Lawler, Linnett, Lunt, Maria, McGuire, Mulhern, Oakes, Rooks, Shaw, Vaivai

  • Hull KR lost their third consecutive game as they went down to Leeds with their late fightback not enough having trailed 28-0 before getting within four points just before the full-time hooter.

  • The Robins have stated they are continuing to search for players to bring into the club immediately but have so far been unable do so and will have to go with what they have this week.

  • Rovers will be without captain Joel Tomkins after he picked up a knock last week with youngster Owen Harrison also dropping out with fellow youngsters Harry Bardle and Adam Rooks replacing them.

ST. HELENS

Head Coach: Justin Holbrook

Squad: Amor, Ashworth, Coote, Costello, Fages, Grace, Knowles, Lees, Lomax, Makinson, Naiqama, Paulo, Peyroux, Richardson, Roby, Swift, Taia, Walmsley, Welsby

Unavailable: Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Mark Percival, Luke Thompson

  • St. Helens fielded an extremely weakened side against Catalans last week but still produced a wonderful performance to highlight their depth as they racked up 50 points in a one-sided affair.

  • Saints will recall the likes of Lachlan Coote and James Roby but some of their younger stars also have done enough to retain their spot with Matty Costello and Jack Welsby keeping their place in the 19-man squad after superb performances last week.

  • Morgan Knowles is back from a ban whilst Tommy Makinson has recovered from the back problem that kept him out last week with youngsters Aaron Smith, James Bentley and Joe Batchelor making way.

THE PREDICTION

Hull KR will need to use the effort they showed in the final quarter against Leeds and turn it into an 80-minute performance if they are to get anything from this game. Saints are the best side in the competition, proving it again with another big win last week and can do the same here. Rovers have struggled defensively and are conceding an average of 29.1 points per game and with Saints scoring 33.8 per game, this could be a long afternoon for the home side.
