- Northants lost their third match in four on Wednesday in a rain-affected match at Old Trafford against Lancashire and that now leaves them with an uphill struggle in reaching the top three in the North Group.
- Jason Holder was unable to bowl due to an injury picked up in that match and the West Indian all-rounder was missed and they are likely to be without their star overseas player for this match which represents a major loss.
- Without him, the bowling unit lacks any real cutting edge while he is comfortably their topscorer with the bat too as there are so many holes in this team, that they are likely to struggle in the remainder of this campaign.
WORCESTERSHIRE

- Worcestershire bounced back nicely from their loss to Leicestershire as they comfortably beat Durham last time out in another rain-affected match to move into second place in the North Group and they will look to push on here.
- They have named an unchanged squad for this match and the likelihood is that they will start with the same eleven players that shone against Durham and they will be confident in making the trip to Northampton.
- Three of their batsmen have hit centuries in their opening three matches and another trio have hit half-centuries as the depth and quality of their team is as strong as anything in the tournament right now.
THE PREDICTION
Worcestershire have been able to name the same eleven for all three matches so far and they are showing signs of settling nicely into this tournament now. They will relish going to Northampton to face the Steelbacks who are struggling already. They have relied so heavily on Jason Holder but they face a team that has plenty of quality and depth in all facets of the game, and this could be a heavy win for the visitors.
