THE TEAM NEWS
MEXICO
- Despite winning both of their opening two matches, Mexico need a point here to be assured of reaching the Round of 16 and topping the group.
- They have a slight concern over Lozano who picked up a knock against Korea but he should be fine to take his place in the starting eleven.
- Coach Juan Carlos Osorio is likely to name the same eleven for this match as they have to play at full intensity once again against Sweden.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1):
Ochoa
Alvarez, Salcedo, Moreno, Gallardo
Herrera, Guardado
Layun, Vela, Lozano
Hernandez
Unavailable: None
Doubtful: Lozano
SWEDEN
- Sweden were stunned by the last gasp defeat by Germany on Saturday night but they have to lift themselves immediately for this game.
- They have to win this match really as they will expect Germany to beat Korea so they have to be more attacking than previous matches.
- Jansson, Rohden and Helander will all hopefully recover from their virus, but Andersson may name an unchanged side once again.
Predicted line-up (4-4-2):
Olsen
Lustig, Lindelof, Granqvist, Augustinsson
Claessen, Larsson, Ekdal, Forsberg
Toivonen, Berg
Unavailable: None
Doubtful: Jansson, Rohden, Helander
THE PREDICTION
This game will suit Mexico in many ways as they can play a similar counter attacking style as they did against Germany. That is not the case for Sweden however who will have to come out and attack to win this game, so that could well lead to quite an open match with both teams scoring.
