Andrey Rublev vs Hubert Hurkacz Prediction

We have a fascinating encounter on Friday night in Rotterdam as fourth seed Andrey Rublev meets eighth seed Hubert Hurkacz for a place in the semi-finals.

Rublev won two tiebreaks to beat Fabian Marozsan on Thursday in a hard-fought round of 16 encounter. Rublev will have taken plenty from that win as he produced in the clutch moments; something which he has struggled with at times.

He now faces Hurkacz who he has met five times before on the ATP Tour and it is the big Pole who has won three of those with Rublev taking two.

Hurkacz will be confident himself after beating Flavio Cobolli in the first round and then seeing Jiri Lehecka retiring from their match when Hurkacz was a set and a break up in the second.

Hurkacz will benefit from the day of rest between matches and that will ensure he comes into this in the best possible shape. Rublev will have other ideas however and he will be keen to push the Pole all the way.

Three of their five meetings have gone to a deciding set and we can see this being a real back and forth match. We have a marginal preference for Rublev but with no real conviction so consider the game betting in this one.
