BALTIMORE RAVENS
- Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson produced a remarkable performance through the air and on the ground as he became the first QB in history to throw for at least 200 yards and surpass 150 rushing yards in the same game to help his team beat Cincinnati.
- For the second week running, the Ravens lost a safety to a season-ending knee injury with DeShon Elliott going down against the Bengals but CB Jimmy Smith gave his team a boost by returning to practice during the week although he is unlikely to play this week.
- The Ravens moved to sign CB Marcus Peters from the Los Angeles Rams earlier in the week and he should come in to make his debut for his new team but Baltimore will have to make late decisions on fellow CB Maurice Canady, LB Patrick Onwuasor and WR Marquise Brown.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
- Seattle produced a great come-from-behind victory on the road at Cleveland to make it three victories in a row and improve to 5-1 as they managed to keep the pressure on San Francisco at the top of the NFC West.
- The Seahawks suffered a huge blow against the Browns with TE Will Dissly set to miss the rest of the year due to a ruptured Achilles and with Seattle looking light in the position, they moved to sign Tyrone Swoopes from the practice squad.
- Four players were unable to practice during the early part of the week with T Duane Brown, SS Lano Hill, FS Bradley McDougald and DE Ziggy Ansah all sidelined and they will face a struggle to be fit for Sunday.
THE PREDICTION
This should be an entertaining game between two teams that are capable of going deep into the post-season. The Seahawks showed great character to respond to going behind against the Browns last week and although the Ravens will pose a threat, the home side should be able to claim the win. Both QBs are likely to run the ball and despite Lamar Jackson’s performance for the Ravens last week, Russell Wilson has also started the season in great form and can lead his team to victory.
