Since lifting the Qatar Open title, Amanda Anisimova has suffered a dip in results, losing in the round of 64 in both Dubai and Indian Wells. This represents an opportunity for her to bounce back but Mayar Sherif won’t make it easy for her after the Egyptian knocked out Lulu Sun 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 in the last round.

Anisimova can get frustrated quickly if things don’t go her way and keeping composure will be very important for the American here as Sherif is likely to come out of the traps very quickly early in an attempt to get on top of Anisimova. If the latter can rediscover the game that served her so well in Qatar, then she’ll be fine.
