Alycia Parks vs Daria Kasatkina prediction

Alycia Parks made it through to the second-round of the Madrid Open by beating Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in a mostly dominant performance. That was her first win on clay this season after losing in the first-round of her two most recent tournaments on the surface.

She takes on Daria Kasatkina for a place in the third-round. Kasatkina’s first tournament since announcing that she would represent Australia in all upcoming events was at Charleston. She easily made it through her first-round match but fell to a defeat against Sofia Kenin in the next stage, losing in straight sets.

That was a disappointment for her having made the final of the event during the previous season but there are still multiple opportunities for Kasatkina to have an impact on clay in the coming weeks.

These two have never faced each other on clay but have played once before in the first-round of the US Open in August 2023. Kasatkina won 2-6 6-4 6-2. We think the world number 14 will have it easier this time around and get it done in straight sets.
