Alexandre Muller vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry Prediction

Alexandre Muller pulled off a major surprise in the first round as the Frenchman upset 18-year-old prodigy Joao Fonseca 6-1 7-6. In truth, the young Brazilian was fatigued following his win in Buenos Aires the previous week but take nothing away from Muller, he played well and did the job.

He meets Argentina’s Tomas Etcheverry who has already beaten one Frenchman as he beat Corentin Moutet 6-3 7-6 on Tuesday. After a disappointing loss in his opening match to Fonseca in his native Argentina last week, Etcheverry is determined to do better this week and he is looking solid.

We like Etcheverry’s chances here against Muller. Without taking anything away from Muller, Fonseca was going through the motions in their match so we cannot read too much into that. Etcheverry is motivated and we expect him to have the quality to beat Muller here.
