Alexander Zverev vs Dusan Lajovic Prediction

Alexander Zverev returns to action after a short break since reaching the final of the Australian Open and he will be relatively happy with how 2025 has started.

It was perhaps a little surprising that he decided to make the trip to Buenos Aires and he may have rued the decision himself after his luggage was sent to the Maldives by accident so his preparations have been a little disrupted for this event.

He will be hoping to get some playing time on clay so he should be suitably motivated to do well this week. He faces Serb Dusan Lajovic in the round of 16 and he is heavily favoured to win.

The pair have met on four previous occasions and Zverev has won all four matches. Two of those came on clay at Roland Garros and while they both went five sets, Zverev has always had the edge. He should do here also but it would be no surprise if he dropped a set in the process.
