Alexander Shevchenko vs Filip Misolic prediction
Alexander Shevchenko struggled at times during the South American clay court season, with just the solitary win in the first round of the Rio Open over Felipe Alves before losing in straight sets to number one seed Alexander Zverev in the next round.
Shevchenko fared even worse in Chile, with a tame 6-2 6-2 defeat to Mariano Navone in the first round, while he also lost at the same stage of the Girona Challenger to Benjamin Hassan despite being seeded second.
Filip Misolic fared slightly better in the same event, having progressed through the qualifiers and beaten Bernabe Zapata before losing to Jesper De Jong in the second round. The Austrian also safely progressed through qualifying here, with a comfortable 6-2 6-2 win over Ugo Blanchet sealing his place in the main draw.
Despite Misolic being ranked 232 to Shevchenko’s 105, he’s in the better form of the two and we fancy the Austrian to pull off a surprise victory here.
