Alexander Hernandez: 32-year-old seeking back-to-back wins for first time since 2018
Alexander Hernandez (15-8) has lost four of his last six fights in the UFC but he has fought some quality opponents during that time including Renato Moicano. He comes off a split decision win over Austin Hubbard at UFC 307 and that will give him good confidence coming into this fight. Hernandez has an opportunity here to win successive fights for the first time since 2018 and he will be fired up to do so.
Kurt Holobaugh: 31-vet aiming for successive wins for first time in third spell with UFC
Kurt Holobaugh (22-8-0 with one no contest) is in his third spell with the UFC and he has an opportunity to win back-to-back fights for the first time in the Octagon. His first two spells with the promotion saw him lose all four fights but he has won two of his three bouts so far in his third spell. He comes off a unanimous decision win over Kaynan Kruschewsky in July and now he takes on Hernandez aiming to make it three wins from his last four.
Alexander Hernandez vs Kurt Holobaugh Prediction
This is an intriguing fight in the UFC's lightweight division between two fighters who have had their fair share of ups and downs.
On the face of it, it is Holobaugh who has had the better of it in recent times but it is Hernandez who has been fighting against higher-calibre opponents.
We fully expect this fight to go the distance and it is easy to see how both men could nullify each other’s threats. Our preference goes to Hernandez to get the vote on the judges’ scorecards.
Prediction: Alexander Hernandez to win by decision
