Alex Michelsen vs Yunchaokete Bu Prediction

Alex Michelsen will come into this quarter-final against Yunchaokete Bu with good confidence. They played for the first time on the ATP Tour just a couple of weeks ago in the first round at the Shanghai Masters and Michelsen eased to a 6-3 6-4 victory. He will be confident of replicating that in Metz.

Michelsen had to come through a serious battle in the round of 16 with Richard Gasquet with the French veteran pushing him all the way in a 6-7 7-6 7-6 thriller. The tiebreaks were all incredibly tense but Michelsen edged the last set 10-8.

The manner of the win will serve the 20-year-old Michelsen really well.

Bu has not had any such troubles himself as he has eased through his two matches in straight sets. This match really does represent a step up in quality however.

We really like Michelsen’s chances in this one. The American has been playing well in recent weeks and barring any fatigue from the battle with Gasquet, we favour him to move into the semi-finals.
