Alex Michelsen vs Luca Van Assche Prediction

Alex Michelsen was in fine form on Wednesday as he fought back after losing the first set to beat his long-time friend and compatriot Nishesh Basavareddy. After a disappointing tournament last year when he went 0-3 in the group stage, this win will give him plenty of confidence. Based on how well he played on Wednesday, there is every chance he could go far this time around.

Luca Van Assche was strong and solid in his 4-3 2-4 4-1 4-3 win over Juncheng Shang. He was consistent in his play without being spectacular and that win will give him plenty of confidence coming into this one.

This pair met last year in the group stage and it was Van Assche who got the win in five sets. Michelsen seems to have a determination about him this year to put last year’s dismal results right and that loss will motivate him to avenge it.
