Alex Michelsen vs Lorenzo Sonego Prediction

Alex Michelsen had to fight back from a set down to beat Sumit Nagal in the first round and he now faces a tougher test as he comes up against Lorenzo Sonego for a place in the quarter-finals.

The number eight seed broke Nagal six times but was also broken three times himself and he will be hoping to improve his serve in this match against Sonego.

Sonego was involved in a three-set battle himself with Canadian talent Gabriel Diallo but he won a deciding tiebreaker 9-7 to make it through to this round.

He comes into this match having beaten Michelsen the last and only time that they previously met. Sonego won the Winston-Salem final 6-0 6-3 against Michelsen and that will give him great confidence.

This may be a little different this time around and Michelsen has come on and is playing better since then. We fancy his chances of getting the win here but it will likely be a closer affair. Consider game betting and expect this to be a far lengthier match than their last meeting.
