Aleksandar Vukic vs Hugo Dellien prediction

Aleksandar Vukic may sit 26 places above Hugo Dellien in the ATP rankings but the Bolivian’s clay-court expertise makes this a tough ask for the Aussie.

The world number 77 has struggled for form since his career-best charge to the third round at his home Major in Melbourne where he was outlasted by Jack Draper in five sets.

Many felt it was going to be a springboard for the 28-year-old to push back into the top 50 but his season has turned pear-shaped on the American hard courts with six straight defeats between the start of February in Dallas and last week in Miami.

Dellien has spent large periods of his career on the Challenger circuit where his main focus has been clay-court events. It’s been the same story in 2025 with semi-final appearances in Piracicaba and Merida as well as a runner-up finish in Rosario.

Last week he suffered a surprise 6-1 6-3 loss to qualifier Timofey Skatov in Girona but the 31-year-old will have great belief that Vukic’s lack of match action on the surface as well as his losing run can help him to bounce back in Morocco.
