Ajla Tomljanovic vs Rebeka Masarova prediction

Ajla Tomljanovic made a decent start to her clay court season, winning two matches, including a comfortable straight sets win over seeded Peyton Stearns, before losing to number one seed Jessica Pegula at the round-of-16 stage with the American going on to win the event. She also lost to Pegula in the semi-finals of the ATX Open, which is her best tournament finish of the season so far.

Rebeka Masarova was unable to make it out of Stuttgart qualifying but succeeded here, beating Sara Bejlek in three sets. She had struggled for most of the season until a fine run to the third-round of the Miami Open having got through qualifying and then advancing to the semi-finals of the Puerto Vallarta Open just a week later. 

Tomljanovic is well-rested having not featured in Billie Jean King Cup qualifying during the earlier part of the month. We think the Australian is good value to get through in straight sets and make the second-round.
