THE PREDICTION
Brisbane Lions failed to win either of their games in last year’s finals as they were dumped out of the competition by Western Bulldogs. Their top four finished proved to count for very little but that will only spur for them on compete for the Premiership once again this season. They take on Port Adelaide in what is a blockbuster round one affair, especially as the Power will also have a point to prove having failed to make last year’s Grand Final in their preliminary final loss to the Bulldogs. Both are capable of coming out on top here but the Lions have won the past four games between the two so they are the slight preference to edge this.
