THE PREDICTION
Geelong Cats’ six-match winning streak was ended by Brisbane Lions
last week and they will be desperate to put that loss behind them. The
two in-form teams met in what was a highly-anticipated clash but the
Lions were too good for the Cats in a one-sided affair. Geelong could
not recover from a slow start and the manner of that defeat is likely to
serve as a wake-up call for them as they look to respond against
Essendon. The Bombers were beaten for the second time in three matches
as they went down to Melbourne last week and while they will feel they
can be competitive, it is unlikely that they will be able to topple the
hosts.
