THE PREDICTION
Geelong Cats and Brisbane Lions both suffered underwhelming Round 1 defeats as they fell to opponents that they were favoured to overcome. The Cats lost to last year’s wooden spoonists Adelaide Crows while the Lions were defeated by Sydney Swans. Both teams shipped over 100 points and those defensive issues will be a big concern for the pair as they look to respond. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance both teams produce here but their poor defensive showings of last week cannot be ignored so this should be a high-scoring contest that produces at least 170 points.
