THE PREDICTION
Brisbane Lions finished second on the ladder last term but they were no match for Geelong Cats in the finals as they fell one game short of the Grand Final. The Lions lost just three of their 17 regular season games and they will hope for a similar level of consistency this time around. They host Sydney Swans in this opening clash and will fancy their chances against a team that managed to finish above just two teams last season. The Swans won just five games in 2020 and with a large discrepancy in quality between the two teams, the Brisbane side should be far too good here with the margin of victory likely to be at least 20 points.
