AC Milan Preview: Rossoneri on the rise
Over the summer, 2021/22 Serie A winning coach Stefano Pioli departed AC Milan after an underwhelming couple of seasons and was replaced by former Lille, Roma and Shakhtar Donetsk boss Paulo Fonseca. The Rossoneri started the Paulo Fonseca reign slowly and have remained inconsistent but there have been definite improvements.
The seven-time European champions begin the weekend sitting outside of the top six but do have a game-in-hand that, if they win, could see them within five points of the top-of-the-table. They followed up a 3-1 defeat of Real Madrid at the Bernabeu by frustratingly being held to a 3-3 draw against Cagliari in Sardinia a couple of weeks ago.
Juventus Preview: Slick Old Lady
This summer has seen Juventus evolve into something new and younger with a more dynamic squad under the more progressive management of former Bologna boss Thiago Motta at the helm. The Old Lady remain unbeaten in their 12 Serie A matches so far this season but six victories and six draws has been a frustrating return for the Bianconeri.
There are real signs of improvement and a slicker style of football that Juventus have implemented. They put in an impressive performance in their most recent outing in the Derby della Mole a couple of weeks ago, defeating Torino by two goals to nil thanks to goals from Timothy Weah and Kenan Yildiz.
AC Milan Team News: Experienced injury issues
AC Milan have an abundance of attacking players and that has been difficult to construct a consistent winning formula but they have still have some experienced absentees.
Former Roma man Alessandro Florenzi is recovering from an ACL injury, whilst Algeria international Ismael Bennacer is also missing due to an ankle injury.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Emerson Royal, Thiaw, Pavlovic, Hernandez; Fofana, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Leao; Alvaro Morata
Unavailable: Florenzi (Injured), Bennacer (Injured)

Juventus Team News: Several absentees
Juventus are dealing with several injury concerns for this weekend’s trip to San Siro as key Brazilian centre-back Bremer is dealing with an ACL injury for this one.
As well as Bremer, the Old Lady are also without summer signings Juan Cabal and Nicolas Gonzalez as well as Serbia international Dusan Vlahovic.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Perin; Savona, Gatti, Kalulu, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Weah, Koopmeiners, Yildiz; Conceicao
Unavailable: Bremer (Injured), Adzic (Injured), Juan Cabal (Injured), Douglas Luiz (Injured), Gonzalez (Injured), Vlahovic (Injured)

AC Milan vs Juventus Prediction
Both sides are attempting to implement a fluent and proactive style of football this season. AC Milan have started the season with some poor results but their ceiling has been shown, as was the case in their 3-1 victory over Real Madrid a few weeks ago. They face a Juventus side that are expected to get on the front foot in this one in what should be an entertaining encounter, despite their lack of goals. Both teams scoring would seem a good bet for this one.
