Tottenham Preview: Unpredictable

It's fair to say that Tottenham are not an easy team to predict. At times they can be flat and wasteful, as shown by their home defeat to Ipswich not so long back, but then they go and follow that by hammering reigning champions Man City 0-4 at the Etihad.

A strong Spurs side twice led against Roma in the Europa League on Thursday, but an injury-time Mats Hummels equaliser denied them a fourth league phase win from five games.

Fulham Preview: Shock to the system

When Fulham went ahead against Wolves midway through the first half at Craven Cottage last weekend, many would have expected them to go on and win a third Premier League game in a row, but the visitors had other ideas and hit the Cottagers for four in a complete turnaround.

Fulham haven't won away at Tottenham since a 0-1 victory in March 2013 at White Hart Lane, with ex-Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov scoring the only goal of the game on that occasion.

Tottenham Team News: Romero could miss out again

Cristian Romero could return but Ange Postecoglou indicated that it would be unlikely, so Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies could remain the centre-back pairing. Goalkeeper Vicario, meanwhile, will be out for a period of months after suffering a fractured ankle last weekend.

The Spurs boss could make a formation tweak to allow both James Maddison - so impressive against City - and Brennan Johnson to both start. This would likely involve Yves Bissouma dropping out and Dejan Kulusevski moving into a more central role.

Predicted XI (4-1-4-1): Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Sarr; Johnson, Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Solanke

Unavailable: Vicario (Injured), Van de Ven (Injured), Bentancur (Suspended), Moore (Illness), Richarlison (Injured), Odobert (Injured)

Questionable: Romero (Injured)

Fulham Team News: Andersen ruled out

Issa Diop is set for a run in central defence following the news that Joachim Andersen will miss the next few games with a calf issue, and he joins Jorge Cuenca and Harrison Reed on the sidelines.

Harry Wilson is in contention for a start after having made a positive impact off the bench in several games recently, while Marco Silva will consider resting Raul Jimenez ahead of a busy fixture schedule.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Lukic; Iwobi, Smith Rowe, Nelson; Muniz

Unavailable: Andersen (Injured), Cuenca (Injured), Reed (Injured)

Questionable: Sessegnon (Injured), Berge (Injured)

Tottenham vs Fulham Prediction

You'd think that Tottenham would be full of confidence after their eye-catching win at the Etihad last weekend, but they often struggle to back up strong results and it wouldn't a be a massive surprise if they didn't put Fulham away here.

Indeed, Spurs have now lost their first-choice goalkeeper, and given their ongoing injuries in defence, Fulham are certainly capable of taking advantage. The Cottagers have found the net in their last 13 games in all competitions, and that could become 14 here.
