Travel Distances 2024/25 – English League Two

Here at TSZ we have put together a list of all the travel distances for the 2024/25 English League Two season.

The distances have been determined by using the shortest route by road on Google Maps at the time of writing. The mileage shown is for the round-trip from a team's home stadium to the opponent's home stadium, and back again, for all away games in the league campaign. This is strictly a 'by road' analysis, other means of transport (e.g. train) are not considered.

TOTAL DISTANCES

  • Gillingham's away days total 9,130 miles in League Two this season - an average of 397 miles per away fixture.
  • Chesterfield are at the other end of the spectrum, with their total over 4,000 miles fewer than that of Gillingham.

WHAT IS THE LONGEST AWAY TRIP IN LEAGUE TWO?

  • The 349 miles separating Carlisle and Gillingham is the longest in League Two this season, with the round journey coming in at almost 700 miles.
  • Walsall's longest round trip (370 miles to Carlisle and back) is a little over half that distance.

WHAT IS THE SHORTEST AWAY TRIP IN LEAGUE TWO?

  • No League Two trip is shorter than when AFC Wimbledon and Bromley face each other, with a mere 12 miles between the two stadiums (24 miles both ways).
  • Contrastingly, Carlisle's shortest round trip is when they face Morecambe. Carlisle-based fans just have the 140 miles to contend with on that journey.
