ZHIZHEN ZHANG VS GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD PREDICTION
27-year-old Zhizhen Zhang has been on the tour for years but he is probably having his best year to date and he has a quarter-final appearances in the Italian Open to his name this season. His better performances have come on clay but he will be keen to put on a better show on the North American hard courts.
He has not played since the Paris Olympics so he will have to hit the ground running although his performances on the hard courts back in March do not fill us with confidence. He is capable of producing good displays but the lack of action on this surface does not convince.
He meets Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, the big-serving French 20-year-old who has spent a few weeks in North America now. He was frustrated to be beaten in qualifying last week in Montreal in qualifying, although he came up against an inspired Mackenzie McDonald in qualifying. The previous week he made it to the round of 16 and he will be keen to make some progress this week.
Mpetshi Perricard has an unbelievable serve and this game will come down to how Zhang copes with it and can return it. The sets are likely to be long and tiebreaks could very well be the order of the day so consider the game betting in this one.
