UGO HUMBERT VS JACK DRAPER PREDICTION
Ugo Humbert has come to Tokyo and found some form having won both his matches so far in straight sets. He eased to victory against local favourite Shintaro Mochizuki losing just three games en route to the win and he had a fraction more work to do against the talented Brandon Nakashima before winning 6-3 6-2. That win will put a marker down especially although he will have to raise his game once again here.
He meets Britain’s number one Jack Draper who is in a rich vein of form himself. Draper beat Mattia Bellucci in the first round 6-4 6-2 and then went on to overcome second seed Hubert Hurkacz 6-4 6-4 in the round of 16. He has carried his momentum from the US Open into this tournament and he will fancy his chances of going all the way based on how he is playing.
The pair have never met before but we like Draper’s defensive abilities to make the difference in this match. Humbert is a big server like Hurkacz is and Draper handled him well. Hurkacz is arguably better than Humbert and we are taking Draper to continue this fine run of form and get the win.
