UGO HUMBERT VS DAVID GOFFIN PREDICTION
Ugo Humbert was pushed all the way in his opening match against talented Swiss youngster Jerome Kym. He edged the three-setter 6-4 6-7 7-5 but it was far from comfortable. He should have won the match more comprehensively but he only took two of his nine break points and he will have to be more efficient against Goffin here.
The Belgian 33-year-old is fighting his way back up the rankings and has done well to reach this stage after winning two rounds of qualifying and his opening match against talented Italian Matteo Arnaldi.
He took a break last week but that came after a strong effort tin Shanghai where he went all the way to the quarter-finals before losing tor Taylor Fritz. During that run, he beat Alexander Zverev and Lorenzo Musetti and his confidence in his game is really strong right now.
We like Goffin’s chances here and there is really good value in him as underdog. Whether he can win the match, we are less certain but he will push Humbert all the way even if he does not win. We like over 21.5 games in this one and we favour Goffin.
