UGO HUMBERT VS ARTHUR FILS PREDICTION
26-year-old Ugo Humbert meets fellow Frenchman Arthur Fils who is six years his junior, and the older statesman will be hoping to claim a third consecutive win over Fils. They have met twice in the last year or so with Humbert winning at the Cincinnati Masters last year and then on grass earlier this year. That will give him plenty of confidence as they meet on Court Rogers.
Fils is improving all the time and he will not be phased by meeting Humbert despite the record between them. He is getting better with every tournament and his win in Hamburg at the ATP 500 event a couple of weeks ago will only bolster his belief further.
Humbert has to be favoured with the greater experience but it is hard to count Fils out these days given his grit and determination in every match he plays. The Montreal crowd will likely get behind him too. Approach this one with caution but marginal preference to Humbert.
