THANASI KOKKINAKIS VS BORNA CORIC PREDICTION
Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis returns to action following a knee issue and he will be hoping he is over his injury concerns this week. After coming through a thrilling five-setter against Felix Auger-Aliassime at Wimbledon, his knee flared up to force his withdrawal against Lucas Pouille and this is his first match since then. It was likely just the lengthy match against the Canadian which caused the issue and he will be well suited to best of three here.
He faces Borna Coric who has chosen to play in Atlanta rather than his homeland in the Croatia Open this week. Coric has not enjoyed the best of years so far and it is hard to have much confidence in the inconsistent Croatian. He has however had the edge over Kokkinakis in previous meetings having won all three. Our marginal preference is with Kokkinakis based on recent form but we are more inclined to go with set betting here and over 2.5.
