THE PREDICTION

World number 13 Cam Norrie came back from a set down to beat in-form Jordan Thompson on Wednesday, backing up a solid result over Miomir Kecmanovic in the first round. The 27-year-old has high hopes for the grass swing this summer after his remarkable run to the semi-finals at Wimbledon last year, where he took the first set from eventual champion Novak Djokovic before defeat. World number 32 Sebastian Korda should not be underestimated here, though, after taking out Stuttgart Open champion Frances Tiafoe in straight sets on Wednesday evening. The 22-year-old reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in January before suffering an injury that saw him miss the next three months on tour. It could be that Korda has recovered just in time to be a genuine factor at Wimbledon with all the qualities required to thrive on grass and it would not be a surprise to see the winner of this quarter-final go on to lift the Queen’s trophy on Sunday.

Korda leads Norrie 2-1 in their head-to-head record but Norrie won their most recent encounter at the Delray Beach Open this February. Korda has earned at least a set in all three of their matches so take that option here to avoid picking a winner.
