QINWEN ZHENG VS ARYNA SABALENKA PREDICTION

We have a blockbuster in store on Tuesday at the US Open as Qinwen Zheng meets Aryna Sabalenka for a place in the semi-finals.

The Chinese number seven seed has equalled her best-ever performance by reaching the quarters and she will be keen to surpass last year’s achievement with a win here.

She will however have to overcome powerhouse Aryna Sabalenka – something she has failed to do in both of their previous meetings.

This is a repeat of the Australian Open final from earlier this year when Sabalenka romped to a 6-3 6-2 victory. They also met in the quarters this time last year in the US Open and Sabalenka won that 6-1 6-4.

That is a fairly big psychological hurdle that Zheng is going to have to overcome if she is to win here.

Sabalenka is looking supreme in New York and it really will take some stopping her this week. It is hard to see Zheng closing the gap based on their previous meetings and how Sabalenka is looking and another straight sets win is on the cards.
