THE PREDICTION

This is a huge opportunity for both Pedro Martinez and Sebastian Baez, the latter already set to smash his ATP world ranking by at least 16 places no matter the outcome here in his first ATP tour final. 24-year-old Martinez will set a new career-high if he wins what is his second final on tour after finishing runner-up to Casper Ruud last summer. The Spaniard has taken out in-form Jaume Munar this week and the last Chilean standing with a comeback victory over the impressive Alejandro Tabilo on Saturday but he will meet perhaps his toughest foe yet in Baez. The Argentine took out second seed Albert-Ramos-Vinolas in three sets on Saturday and his upward trajectory this season should see him eventually eclipse Martinez in the ATP world rankings. Martinez remains the favourite on results this week but backing Baez to win at least a set seems a reasonable compromise here.
