PEDRO MARTINEZ VS JIRI LEHECKA PREDICTION
27-year-old Pedro Martinez has had a tough time of it of late on the ATP Tour having been eliminated in the opening round in his last three tournaments. He did however drop to a Challenger Tour event in Valencia two weeks ago and he won that but naturally, the level was much lower. He is in desperate need of a win on the Tout but he has been handed a tough draw here.
Jiri Lehecka has been showing signs of returning to his best in the last couple of months and things clicked into gear for him last week. He eventually lost the final in Antwerp to Roberto Bautista Agut but he won four matches en route to the final and beat the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Marcos Giron to get there.
The 22-year-old did meet Pedro Martinez just a few weeks ago in Beijing. The Czech talent won 7-6 6-2 in that encounter. We expect the same outcome here and it may be more comprehensive this time around.
