PAULA BADOSA VS CAROLINE DOLEHIDE PREDICTION
Paula Badosa may only be 26-years-old but the talented Spaniard has shown signs of rekindling the magic this week with some excellent performances in reaching the semi-finals. She has beaten Sofia Kenin, third seed Liudmila Samsonova and Emma Raducanu which will fill her with confidence coming into this match. She may be ranked lower than her opponent here – 62 compared to 49 – but that means nothing. Badosa is extremely talented and playing some great tennis right now.
She meets Caroline Dolehide who is just a year younger but enjoying a fine week herself. She has picked up wins over Lesia Tsurenko, Daria Kasatkina and Amanda Anisimova, and she has one more obstacle if she wants to reach the final.
This assignment could well be one too great for her however. Badosa is only ranked so lowly due to injuries in 2023 and she is on her way back. In 2022, she reached second in the world, and there are signs that she is regaining that form. Expect a straight sets win.
