PAUL JUBB VS SEBASTIAN OFNER PREDICTION

24-year-old Paul Jubb comes into this semi-final on an even bigger high than he has been on throughout this outstanding week after beating top seed Ben Shelton in a third set tiebreak on Thursday to get to this stage. Ultimately it was Jubb’s superb receiving performance that grabbed the victory in an incredibly close match and he will need that once against Ofner.

The Austrian edged past Alex Michelsen in three sets himself on Thursday to reach this stage but he will have to raise his game if he is to beat Jubb. Ofner was fortunate that his 10 double faults were not duly punished by Michelsen and it is unlikely Jubb will be as forgiving. Much will come down to whether Ofner’s serve is on point here and whether he can get the edge over Jubb’s returning, but we slightly favour the latter and edge Jubb to reach the final.
