The top seed won her first WTA title this time last season at the Birmingham Classic and she took that form straight into Wimbledon with a best Grand Slam showing in a quarter-final exit to Aryna Sabalenka. The 27-year-old returned to her best level with a stunning run to the Madrid Open title on clay but her tricky, entertaining playstyle is probably best-suited to the grass. World number169 Alycia Parks bagged a hugely impressive win on Tuesday, ousting in-form rising star Qinwen Zheng in straight sets. However, Jabeur beat Parks in straight sets on clay at last season’s Charleston Open and there is little to suggest a different outcome here if the Tunisian brings her exhilarating best. An outright call for Jabeur would be suitably cautious but she should be able to take this in two.
