THE PREDICTION
28-year-old Natalija Stevanovic stunned former world number one Karolina Pliskova on her Grand Slam debut in the first round and she should not be underestimated in this first meeting with Petra Kvitova after reaching the third round without dropping a set, including qualifying. Two-time Wimbledon champion Kvitova survived an early scare against Jasmine Paolini in the first round before an altogether more assured result over Aliaksandra Sasnovich on Friday to look the clear favourite here but it could come closer than expected. The former world number two won the Berlin 500 last month to bring some serious form into Wimbledon and she remains a title contender despite the improving chances of Iga Swiatek and defending champion Elena Rybakina. Stevanovic is something of an anomaly at this level and that makes taking Kvitova to win outright the sensible call, although straight sets should do it.
