MITCHELL KRUEGER VS JIRI LEHECKA PREDICTION
American 30-year-old Mitchell Kruger is living the dream by making his third appearance in the main draw at the US Open and he has now won four matches to reach this stage. He beat Hugo Grenier in the first round in four sets but now he faces a significantly sterner test.
It was slow going for a good while for Jiri Lehecka in his first-round win over Martin Fucsovics as he committed countless unforced errors in losing the first set 1-6. He did however warm up and ease into the match to cut them back and break the Hungarian down to ease to victory with his opponent retiring later in the fourth set.
Lehecka will take plenty from that match but he will know that he cannot be so wasteful against better opposition. Expect him to start better and Krueger should be no match for him here.
