MIRRA ANDREEVA VS ELINA AVANESYAN PREDICTION

The Iasi Open will see a new title winner on the WTA Tour be crowned with Mirra Andreeva and Elina Avanesyan battling for their first victory. Andreeva continues to impress as the age of 17 and the Russian has been in sparkling form this week. In her first three matches this week, she won each of them in straight sets and dropped a combined total of nine games across the three matches. Her semi-final clash with Olga Danilovic provided her with a much-needed stiff challenge but she still emerged victorious after over two hours and three hard-fought sets.

She meets Elina Avanesyan who she has met before. The duo met in Rouen earlier this year and it was Andreeva who won 7-5 6-4. Avanesyen’s route has not been quite as straight forward but it is fair to say that she has played a higher calibre of opponent.

That however is unlikely to help her here. Andreeva is playing some confident tennis, and with the knowledge that she has already beaten Avanesyan already this year, she should be capable and motivated to do so again in this one and claim her maiden WTA 250 title.
