MIOMIR KECMANOVIC VS LORENZO MUSETTI PREDICTION

Miomir Kecmanovic was in the thick of a five-set thriller against Japan’s Yoshihito Mishioka when his opponent collapsed in agony in the fifth set when the scores were virtually even. That forced Nishioka to retire and have the Serb a place in the second round which he will welcome, even if the circumstances were less than ideal.

Lorenzo Musetti was in good form as he beat powerhouse Reilly Opelka in the first round and managed to deal with the ferocious serving to win in four sets.

The likeable Italian will fancy his chances of progressing through the rounds this year and he faces a different kind of test in the second round on Wednesday.

The pair have met three times in the last two years and Musetti has won two of those matches. With form on his side, their previous meetings, and Musetti clearly on an upward trajectory, the Italian is favoured to progress here.
