MARIN CILIC VS ZHIZHEN ZHANG PREDICTION
Marin Cilic has enjoyed a superb week and is looking for his 21st ATP Tour singles title – and his first in two years. The 35-year-old is trying to work his way back up the rankings following a slide due to injuries and he has been impressive this week.
His win over Brandon Nakashima in the semi-finals on Monday was arguably his best so far and his confidence will only have grown after beating the talented young American.
He now faces local favourite Zhizhen Zhang and he will be facing a fervent home support too. Zhizhen beat his compatriot Yunchaokete Bu in the semis in straight sets but that did not tell the whole story as he won some key moments but arguably due to his opponent’s unforced errors.
He will have to step up here and raise his game against Cilic who is playing well. The Croatian has been the standout player this week and assuming his body stands up to it, he is the one favoured to get the win despite the home support for Zhizhen.
