MARIANO NAVONE VS BEN SHELTON PREDICTION
Mariano Navone enjoyed a strong start to 2024 as he produced some outstanding displays on clay, but he has found it significantly harder in the second half of the year on grass and hard courts. He won in straight sets against Luciano Darderi although he too is more of a clay court specialist so it is hard to put too much stock into that.
He faces a tough round of 16 match as he has drawn the big-serving American Ben Shelton. The 21-year-old beat Reilly Opelka in the first round in three sets and that will give him big confidence coming into this one.
His serve and all-round play should be too powerful for Navone and we expect a straight sets win for Shelton in this one.
