LUCIANO DARDERI VS FLAVIO COBOLLI PREDICTION
This promises to be an intriguing match-up between Luciano Darderi and Flavio Cobolli who are so similar in so many ways. Stylistically there are plenty of parallels, they are both 22, and they sit within three places of each other in the rankings.
Our marginal preference goes to Cobolli however. He has played significantly more on hard courts this season and has had reasonable success too. He got through five rounds, including qualifying, at the Australian Open at the start of the year, and then reached the final in Washington just a few weeks ago.
It is Cobolli who has form and momentum on his side and while Darderi showed he is more than capable in the first round win over Alejandro Tabilo, we like the look of Cobolli in this one.
