LORENZO MUSETTI VS GIOVANNI MPETSHI PERRICARD PREDICTION
25th seed Lorenzo Musetti comes into this match with Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard knowing he has already beaten the French 20-year-old once this year after winning two tiebreaks in a 7-6 7-6 win in Stuttgart shortly before Wimbledon. In that match, Musetti created eight break points on Mpetshi Perricard’s monster serve but failed to win any of them. It will however give him belief he can create opportunities here.
Mpetshi Perricard fired down a stunning 21 aces in those two sets and he will be banking on his serve being the key to success once again here following his three wins in the first week. The 20-year-old has beaten 20th seed Sebastian Korda, Yoshihito Nishioka and Emil Ruusuvuori en route to the fourth round and he will not fear Musetti.
His serve is ferocious and that will make for some long sets. He has hit a staggering 27, 27 and 52 aces in his three matches so far and there are no signs of him slowing down. Musetti knows he can create break points however so he will take confidence from that, but it is hard to see him preventing some sets going to tiebreak. The game betting lines are high with that in mind, but add over 3.5 sets to your accumulator with confidence.
