JUNCHENG SHANG VS ALEXANDER BUBLIK PREDICTION
19-year-old Chinese prodigy Juncheng Chang is enjoying a good week in his homeland having already beaten Kei Nishikori and Roman Safiullin to reach the quarter-finals.
To add to his confidence, he only beat his next opponent – Alexander Bublik – a couple of weeks ago in the first round at the US Open in a five-set thriller so that bodes well for him in this one.
Bublik eased past Federico Gomez 6-4 6-4 to progress to the quarters but he will have to raise his game against the in-form Shang. That victory was his first in any tournament since Wimbledon such has been his poor form so he will be aiming to build on that here.
It is Shang who has to be favoured however. He is on home soil, will have the backing of the crowd and is playing the better tennis. Expect Shang to win and potentially in straight sets too.
