THE PREDICTION

19-year-old Linda Noskova found the form of her young career this time last season with a brilliant run to the Adelaide 500 final ended by Aryna Sabalenka, who went on to lift the Australian Open trophy. The Czech brought a career-high WTA world ranking of 40th into Brisbane but she will drop back inside the 60s unless she can maintain this strong run, so far beating Timea Babos and Sorana Cirstea in industrious three-set results. 21-year-old Julia Riera will set a new career-high of around 121st after her huge upset over seventh seed Ekaterina Alexandrova on Wednesday, improving match-on-match from qualifying. The Argentine enjoyed some strong form off the tour late last season but despite her career-best win against Alexandrova this should be a step to far against Noskova. Given their respective results this week, take the Czech to earn at least a set inside an accumulator or consider a one-off on three sets.

TIP: LINDA NOSKOVA TO WIN A SET
