JIRI LEHECKA VS STEFANOS TSITSIPAS PREDICTION

Czech star Jiri Lehecka has cruised into the quarter-finals in Antwerp so far with two consecutive straight-sets wins over Jaume Munar and Daniel Altmaier. The fifth seed now faces a much tougher test as he meets Stefanos Tsitsipas on centre court on Friday afternoon.

The 22-year-old continues to work his way back from his injury troubles in the summer and is staying as active as he can to earn ranking points and rebuild his sharpness. It does not feel like he is back to where he was before his injury but he is improving.

Tsitsipas has had his own struggles in what has arguably been the hardest year of his outstanding career so far. The 26-year-old is working hard to try to regain his best form and he will take some comfort from his opening win over Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild in three sets.

He really had to dig deep in that match and he pulled off the win so he will be hoping to build on that here.

The pair have met three times before and Tsitsipas has won two of those but it was Lehecka who won their only meeting in 2024. This really is a match that could go either way depending on who hits the ground running but our marginal preference leans towards Lehecka.
