JANNIK SINNER VS ZHANG ZHIZHEN PREDICTION
Top seed Jannik Sinner was put through his paces by Jan-Lennard Struff in Friday’s quarter-final but eventually came through courtesy of a deciding set tie-break. The Italian has certainly not had it all own way in Halle, dropping a set in each of his three matches, but he has risen to the occasion every time he has been asked a question.
Sinner’s opponent, Zhang Zhizhen, is arguably playing the tournament of his career. Having taken the scalp of third seed Daniil Medvedev in the round of 16, the world number followed that up with victory over Christopher Eubanks in three sets on Friday.
Zhizhen will relish the prospect of taking on another top-ten player here, but this is likely a step too far for the Chinese player. Sinner has already been tested this week, and is beginning to find his feet on grass following his semi-final exit at the French Open two weeks ago. Expect the Italian to show his quality to in a straight-sets victory.
