JANNIK SINNER VS ALEX MICHELSEN PREDICTION

World number one Jannik Sinner will be eager to put in a better showing this week after a disappointing exit in the Canadian Open at the hands of Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals last week.

Sinner could be forgiven for being a little rusty last week in his first action since Wimbledon but he will be laser focused in Cincinnati. He has never gone beyond the round of 16 in Cincy but he is strong on hard courts and he can enjoy a good week here.

He faces talented 19-year-old Alex Michelsen who has already played three matches to get to this stage. He showed tremendous grit and determination in beating Tallo Griekspoor in the first round and he will likely relish this kind of match where he has nothing to lose.

He should put in a good showing but expect Sinner to put a marker down and win in straight sets here.
