JAN-LENNARD STRUFF VS STEFANOS TSITSIPAS PREDICTION

This is the first action for Jan-Lennard Struff since he was forced to pull out of the Olympics due to injury after he had won in the first round. The 34-year-old German has not had that long to recover so it will be something to monitor throughout this week.

He faces Stefanos Tsitsipas who has had plenty of drama himself in recent days. After the 25-year-old was beaten by Kei Nishikori in Montreal last week, he later announced his father would no longer be his coach. His frustrations in his play have been clear to see of late and such a decision will not be one taken lightly.

It will be interesting to see how he fares in this match following that decision. It could easily go either way and that makes betting on his match dangerous right now. While Struff won their last meeting, we would typically favour Tsitsipas in this match on this surface especially with Struff’s injury concerns. However, approach this one with a degree of caution.
